One of the cooler motor vehicles being displayed by Honda. There were at least five versions of this TRX ATV. 4 seats, 2 seats and trunk, 2 seats no trunk, covered, not covered, etc.
Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez gear for sale in one of the Honda tents.
The GOld Wing F6B. The front fairing had a lower profile and the bike didn't SEEM to be as bulky. Very nice looking, for sure.
The UGLIST bike on the lot... the NM4. Automatic, scooter-like... Looked like two halves that were put together incorrectly.
At the Vendor Marketplace now. Take the challenge, said Scorpion helmets...
Bite into the scorpion in the sucker to get a chance to win (?whatever?).
Alpinestars was displaying used leathers...
Marc Marquez obviously went down using these leathers but I guess the point is, the leather might have lost its "shiney" but remains intact.
Earl Hayden (Nicky Hayden's dad) was in the marketplace signing his book about his and his offsprings' motorcycle careers. The cute little kids' t-shirts were the more popular item.
"Vino Moto"... Westfield (IN) Powersports was advertising several of their moto schools. The Women's riding school and wine tasting took centre stage. Wine? Motorcycle school for potential beginners? Doesn't this seem somewhat odd to you?
Back to Moto3 action... There are THREE riders in this picture... Niklas Ajo (in front), Francesco Bagnaia (middle) and Ana Carrasco (in pink). Ana is the only female rider I know of in bigtime moto racing but she averages 50 seconds behind the leaders. Too timid to push further? Dunno.
Jack Miller leading Enea Bastianini at turn 2 (infield view)
Still in infield by turn 2. A view showing where bikes enter the track from pit lane (bottom left) towards the southwest vista stands. Can't tell which Go & Fun Honda Gresini rider that is but he's followed by Marc Marquez and Andrea Iannone.
Cal Ctutchlow
Jorge Lorenzo - same turn, deeper lean.
Broc Parkes has Rossi breathing his exhaust... for now.
Could Marc Marquez or Stefan Bradl get any lower to the pavement??
This time around, Colin Edwards is chasing Rossi.
If Lorenzo was any lower, the bike's frame would be scraping the ground.
Same corner (4) differing technique... Marquez.
Turn 3, Valentino Rossi.
Bradley Smith
At the medical center behind turn 2 (infield).
Notice that Mika Kallio's number is -36 (minus 36). He said, "That's how cold it was when I left home to go racing."
More Moto2 action... Julian Simon follwed into the corner by an unidentified rider.
Esteve (Tito) Rabat followed by Ricard Cardus.
The Graves Yamaha that Cameron Beaubier won the 2013 AMA Pro Daytona SportBike series on. With the AMA races not on a local channel anymore, I don't follow the AMA much. I do know that Josh Hayes still dominates the SuperBike series. He has since Matt Mladin retired then Ben Spies moved on to World Superbike then MotoGP. Josh Herrin, now riding in Moto2, did win that series in 2013 but is not fairing very well in the international scene.
A lot of static miles were placed on this Harley during race weekend. Note the front tire bolted down and the rollers under the back wheel.
You had to be slightly braver to try the trick bike. Not that the bike would fall, but YOU still could!
Geico had a 60 degree lean bike set up. I would have climbed on it myself but I find I'm too old to get that close to the ground and still successfully get up off it.
