The last leg of our journey didn't take all that long. We approached Madrid from the east and eventually hopped onto a freeway which led us to IMT's neighbourhood in the southwest of the city. After gassing up, we handed in our bikes and collected our belongings from the top cases (and/or luggage). Sergi and Martin put the bikes to bed in the warehouse while Irina, Sergi's girlfriend, looked on. Since she works in the Madrid office, there might also have been some paperwork that she had to handle, but I wouldn't venture to guess about that. We hopped in a passenger van to get back to the NH Hotel Nacional while Martin, Sergi, and Irina followed in the van.
