I got a good sleep that night so that I was up and ready to travel by about 7:00 a.m. I was on my own that day, as Kevin was apartment hunting. I took a movie of the Harley as it warmed up that morning so you could understand the reason that I didn't have trouble with other traffic knowing I was around them.
The night before, Kathy and Kevin had suggested that I take a drive out to Canyon Lake because (a) it was pretty out there and (b) it was close enough that I would have enough time to definitely get there and back, get my luggage from my hotel, take the Harley back to the dealership, and get to the airport for my 5:00 p.m. flight.
I took Thousand Lakes Road to 281, then headed north to Bulverde. There I headed east through a GREAT deal of fog towards Canyon Lake. Half way around the loop around the lake, I arrived in Canyon Lake/Sattler which was a neat little centre with western style business fronts.
| | You can see the fog which I'm assuming kept me from seeing ANY lake at ANY time during the entire ride.
