Day Seven: The Wedding!

The big day had arrived!

I started the day by exercising at the other Curves in Kingston.

After showering and getting dressed, I was ready to go to the wedding... by motorcycle!!

I put jeans on under my dress and my jacket on top. I wore sandals though... VERY uncomfortable! It makes me wonder at all the people who drive motorcycles without proper footgear... why?!?!?

I arrived at the church at the same time as Jennifer's brother Jason and his fiancee Megan. I helped them arrange the potted flowers down the aisle.

Soon, the musical trio arrived... a violin, viola, and cello. Nice!

Mike's parents were the first of the wedding party to walk up the aisle.

Then it was Sharon's turn to be escorted up the aisle on the arm of Jennifer's brother, Jason...

...soon followed by the bridesmaids... Becky, Jane, and Denise.

Time to get the main characters into place!

Ivan escorts his daughter down the aisle!

During the ceremony, friends and family of the bride and groom read selected passages.

Left to right, top to bottom: Wendy, Jennifer's Aunt, Becky, Jennifer's friend, Rita, Mike's sister, and Peter, Mike's brother.

And now for the stars of the show...

Jennifer and Mike... in pictures and movies!!

And then it was time for all the congratulations!

In the crowd...

Jenn gives her grandfather a kiss.

Jenn's Bridesmaids...

Left to right: Becky, Denise (Maid of Honour), and Jane

Jane, left, was Sharon's Maid of Honour!

Mike's sister, Rita and her husband, Jenn and Mike, and Mike's brother Peter and his wife.

And... ta-daaaaa....

Guess who? (Picture taken by fellow Winnipeger, Tom!)

There was a couple of hours between the wedding and reception so...

I briefly went downtown to take a couple of pictures of Fort Frontenac.

And I saw this building... home of the Princess of Wales' Regiment

Now back to the reception...

Here's Jenn and Mike with Jennifer's grandparents (Ivan's parents)... and Sharon's parents. Jennifer made a lovely speech about both pairs.

The head table...

A nice idea related to grandparents was this... pictures of the weddings of Jenn and Mike's parents and grandparents.

Here was MY table. All very nice people, some family, some friends. Some teachers, a travel agent. We had a nice long continuous chat about almost everything I could think of.

Here's a cool group of people I talked to...

... some even wise enough to be transplanted to Winnipeg...

... probably as bartenders (haha, Punkag!)... gotta make SOME use of all those chemistry classes!
