I then took a stroll away from the Alamo towards the shopping center and the famous Riverwalk. Along the way I saw the bandstand and a sculpture which was a gift of friendship from Mexico.

Did you know that the river was "in" the last couple of pictures? It's understandable that someone could miss tthe river completely. Even as I approached a set of stairs going down, I wasn't sure I'd arrived until I saw the water.

Kevin, Kathy and I had sat beneath one of these umbrellas the night before at dinner at Casa Rio Restaurant.

I hope Kathy will forgive me for my tourist weakness, but I decided to take the riverboat cruise to see the sights around the Riverwalk. I was running out of time and it seemed the best solution to see things quickly and not have to lug all my motorcycle paraphenalia around.
