That evening, Kevin and his girlfriend, Kathy, were nice enough to take me downtown for "TexMex" food and to see the famous "River Walk". When we got downtown, I was wondered where the river was. Kevin parked the car then we started walking and I assumed they'd taken me to another area of downtown. When we walked down some stairs, I'll admit I never expected to see water. Bottom line: the river walk is beautiful BUT the *river* is obviously about that Texas exaggeration people hear about!

Ducks swam by all the restaurants on the Riverwalk, no doubt to pick up crumbs from the restaurants' patrons.

All right... get ready... here's the river!

The walk along the river, especially at night, truly was outstanding. The city was really pretty by moonlight.
